We Believe

WHAT WE BELIEVE:

The Holy Scriptures – We believe that the Bible is the God-inspired, infallible Word of God – absolute in authority and complete in revelation. The Holy Spirit gives an understanding of the divine truth of the Bible. God’s plan of redemption through the work of Jesus the Messiah is the central theme of Scripture. (2 Tim 3:16-17)

The Eternal God – There is one God, existing eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (John 10:30; John 14:26; Philippians 2:5-7 )

God’s Plan for Salvation of Man – We believe that all people are sinners (Romans 3:23, 5:12), cannot be saved by our own good works (Ephesians 2:8-9), deserving judgment (Romans 5:23), need to repent and need a God-given Savior. Because of God’s love unto us, He provided His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, to die on the cross on our behalf, rose again from the dead, ascended back to heaven, and will one day return to this earth again. (John 3:16, 1:12, 3:3)

A New Man, the fruit (package) and gifts of the Holy Spirit– We believe that when a person truly repented and accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, the person receives the Holy Spirit. Thus, the person receives also the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22-23) which should be evident in the person’s life. Also, the Holy Spirit gives Spiritual Gifts to that person, and that all the gifts in the New Testament are still available to the Church today. (1 Cor. 12:4-11)

Two Church Ordinances…Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper– We believe that baptism by immersion in water is a public declaration of our identification with Christ and His death, burial, and resurrection. (Romans 6:3-4) We believe that the Lord’s Supper proclaims the death of Christ and brings to mind the fellowship meals of the risen Lord with His disciples. (1Cor.11:23-26;28)

Divine Healing and Deliverance– We believe that it is God’s will for us all to be set free from all oppressions in our physical body (through sicknesses and diseases), (inner healing of the) soul and (bondage of the) spirit. (John 10:10). Healing and deliverance are wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, by the laying on of hands, and by the anointing that breaks the yoke (Isaiah 10:27). Healing and Deliverance are provided for in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of everyone who believes (James 5:14-15). We also believe that repentance over specific sins and the outright renunciation of them is vital to our deliverance from any demonic oppression. (Luke 4:18-19; Isaiah 61:1-2a; Acts 10:38)

The Rapture– We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ will come in the air to receive to Himself His own, both the living who shall be transformed and the dead in Christ who shall be resurrected. This event takes place before the wrath of God is poured out during the 7-years tribulation on the whole earth. In the air, believers will appear before the judgment seat of Christ to be judged according to faithfulness in Christian service. (1 Thess. 4:16-17; 1 Cor. 15:51-57; Phil 3:20-21; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; 2 Cor. 5:9-10)

The Second Coming – We believe that Christ will return to this earth in power, great glory, and visible to all. His return will conclude the great tribulation with the victory at Armageddon, the defeat of Antichrist, and the binding of Satan. Christ will introduce the millennial age, restore Israel to her own land, lift the curse which now rests upon the whole creation, and bring the whole world to the knowledge of God. (Mat. 24:27,30; Luke 17:24,26-30; Rev. 16:12-16; 17:8,12-14; 19:11-20; Psa. 2:6-12; Dan. 2:44-45; Luke 22:29-30; Rev. 3:21; 20:6; Isa. 1:24-27; 2:1-4; Zech. 14:3,4,9; Rom 8:19-23; Rev. 22:3)

Tithes and Offerings – We believe that God has instructed every Christian to participate in advancing His Kingdom by giving their tithes and offerings. (Mal.3:10)

The Great Commission – We believe in evangelism, that winning individuals, families, and nations to God through the good news of Christ is the principal purpose of believers. (Matthew 28:18; 24:14)
